Tips on How to Paint the Exterior of a House

Our home maintenance and decorations are incomplete if we left the exterior of our home. It will not ever sound good to listen, that “your home interiors are nice but from outside it look like a slum.” So do not just sit back take equipments and start enhancing your home renovation from outside even. Here are some tips to paint exterior of your home.

 
• Firstly, eradicate any damaged surfaces, of your old home designs or just replace it. Now wash off all surfaces of stucco, masonry, or metal with a high-pressure water sprayer and then dry it off.

• To make sure your new home renovation will look completely fresh, you will need to remove all loose, cracked, and blistered paint so that new paint can easily go on walls. For removing old paint and blistered paint, you can use paint scraper or sandpaper.

• Remember to use high grade exteriors caulk such as silicone caulks with corners, above door and window trim while patching all nail or screw holes and cracks with all different kind of siding but do not overlap it, as it will give a stake look in your home decor.

• While covering dark stains like wood stain or old paint stains, you can also use epoxy filler to repair serious woodwork problems. You can also use primers and additives for mildew problems, which will add a great extension in your home improvement.

• Before applying paint, do not forget to remove glossy surface, debris, and dust so that paint can stick to the wall easily. Always cover electrical lighting and plumbing outlets, plants and other accessories while painting because it is almost very hard to remove it.

• Now apply primer first and then apply first coats of paint on exterior walls. Let the first coat dry and then apply second coat but do not leave corners of the walls while painting. You can use paint rollers, spray machine for painting correctly to add spice in your home improvement and maintenance.
