Well usually during our Home improvement, renovation, house maintenance and repair work, we do not give much priority to our bathrooms, but bathroom is an essential part of our house and it has to be taken care of pretty well. Today we are talking about painting counter tips of your bathroom to give it an extensive look and at the same time handling home improvement as well. There are quite a few tips and considerations available for you, when you are planning to give a new look to your bathroom by painting counter tips. Your color choices matters a lot, while planning to apply new textures and paints on your bathroom counter tips, and it is advisable that you should always match up with the color scheme of floor, accessories, curtains etc. Given below, we have compiled some useful information about home improvement and painting bathroom counter tips, you may find them pretty resourceful as well:

1. Everyone should consider the total expected duration of the color and paint, which means how long you are planning to keep the same paint on your counter tips and walls. For example a bright blue color will be ideal if you are looking for temporary solution, and would like to buy other sources like lamination or solid surface and replace it within a year or 6 months.

2. Once you are done with your color selection and criteria than you should clean the counter top with the help of warm soap water, wipe it and clean it with a soft cloth or a duster.

3. After Above step, you should sand the counter very lightly with sand paper and clean it with a damp cloth.

4. Once you’re done with light sand surface, you should prime the counter with acrylic primer and let it be like that for around 20-30 minutes, because that will help the color or paint to stick on it pretty easily.

5. After first coat of the primer, apply the second coat of primer and let it dry properly for around 25-40 minutes.

6. After you are done with the second coat of primer and it’s properly done, than you can paint over it for around 3-4 coats on each other one by one and let it dry properly.

7. Once you think that color paint coat is dry, go for couple acrylic coats, and it will dry and make it look smooth and solid. This acrylic seal will take some time to get dry and it is advisable that you should scratch it or scrub it, just wipe it with a soft damp cloth.
